Alert on Joanne Austen Brown & The War Rings

The War Rings

Could Marta revisit the tragedy befallen her family? Because telling them meant she would be reliving it all over again.

Marta has brought up the three children in Britain, but now she must tell them what happened to their parents. Can she do it?  Alida and Dieter's love story is so beautiful despite what was happening in Germany. But Marta also lost her parents and other sister, leaving her the sole survivor in her family. They were all victims of the deadly Nazis as were thousands of people all over Europe.

Were they ready for the truth?

What type of TV drama do you watch?

I love Midsummer Murders. I also think the Chosen is brilliant.

I’m looking at WW2 docos at the moment.

Share something you are watching now or watched recently which you loved?

When I have had a busy or tough day, I want to watch something light and fluffy. Would I lie to You is what hubby and I are watching now.

We just finished the whole series of Not Going out, which is very funny.

Tell us about your book...
The War Rings is a book I really loved writing. Based on a true story, that my mum told me of friends she had, I wanted to retell it from the point of view of the Jews who were in Germany before the war began. All the events that occurred to them I have retold in a different setting and a different place. And the names have been changed……   I love romance that is eternal and this is definitely that.
