Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope

He’s willing to risk his life to save others.
Is she willing to risk her heart on him?

Morgan’s late husband was a daredevil…and now she’s a widowed single mom. All she wants now is to set up a stable life for herself and her son in the small town of Pine Hill, Kentucky.

Andrew’s a firefighter who thrives on the rush of saving others. His secret dream is to become a smokejumper and fight raging wildfires across the country. But it’ll mean leaving his hometown and the people who rely on him.
Morgan and Andrew are drawn together as they both volunteer to make quilts for veterans at the local quilt shop. Morgan’s son looks up to Andrew, and Morgan can’t help but notice how good Andrew is with him. Meanwhile, Andrew’s torn between his ambition and his growing attraction to Morgan. They both have choices to make about their future…and about each other.

1.     What inspires you to write?

If I had to say what inspired me to write, I’d have to say LIFE. Every where I look, I see a story. Every person I meet, I see a story. I think it’s just how I’m wired. Everyone and everything has a story and I love learning what that story is. I love to use those life experiences to fuel my muse.

2.     What is your favourite genre and why?

My favorite genre is romance. I rarely read something that isn’t educational/work-related or a romance. I want my happy-ever-after and romance is the only genre that guarantees I’m going to get one. Real life has enough sad endings for me, so in my reading world, yeah, give me a romance novel. I love them all, but romantic comedy is my favorite.

3.     Share a bit about your writing process.

My writing process is actually undergoing a change. I’ve always been a pantser. I wrote because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. For the past few years, I’ve been transitioning into a plotter. That change has been painful, but necessary, as I have to have a detailed synopsis for my Hallmark Publishing stories.

4.    Tell us about your book...

Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope is the third book in my Wrapped Up series from Hallmark Publishing. Each book is stand alone, but also is revisit to Pine Hill, Kentucky. In Wrapped Up in Christmas Hope, my hero is a dare-devil firefighter who aspires to become a smokejumper. My heroine is a widowed single mother who likes playing it safe. They’re thrown together helping with a Quilts of Valor Sew-in and with the town’s Christmas festivities. I had so much fun writing their love story and visiting with the Butterflies, a group of big-hearted, but meddling older women, and giving one her happy-ever-after, as well.
