1. Does your family support your career as a writer?

Yes. My family supports me. I couldn't do this career without their support.

2. If you had to do something differently as a child or teenager to become a better writer as an adult, what would you do?

I don't think I would change anything about how I grew up. Maybe I would've taken some English focused courses in university, but there's nothing I would change about my childhood.  It's because of my childhood that I'm the writer I am today.

3. How long on average does it take you to write a book? 

It takes about a month. I need 2 weeks to think about the book. I don't plot, except in my head, but once my characters are fully formed and I've had my 2 weeks to think the writing comes fast.

4. Tell us about your book...

My book is my 25th with Harlequin medicals. The hero is a prince in hiding, a spare to the heir, while his country revolts. He has a one night stand with my heroine and when he's forced to leave and go into hiding, he doesn't expect to see her again. He's placed in Yellowknife and is working for my heroine. He discovers she's pregnant with his heir and she discovers he's a prince. She agrees to marry him to protect their baby, but love quickly develops in close quarters.

About the Author

Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Amy fled the big city to settle down with the country boy of her dreams. When she's not furiously typing away at her computer, she's a mom to three children.

Life got in the way, and after the birth of her second child, she decided to pursue her dream of becoming a romance author.
