Promise Me Forever (Bindarra Creek A Town Reborn Book 8)

1. Does your family support your career as a writer?
Yes, I have a very supportive family. Luckily, my children are both grown up now with interests and passions of their own, so I have time between work and life balance for my writing. I’m also lucky to have a husband who cooks and does laundry!

2. If you had to do something differently as a child or teenager to become a better writer as an adult, what would you do?
I loved creative writing classes at school which I think helped me a lot, but if I had that time over, I would further my studies in creative writing. It’s never too late though because back in 2011 when I started writing seriously for publication, I completed a diploma in proofreading, editing and publishing.

3. How long on average does it take you to write a book?
It takes on average 6 months for me to write a book. I’m a very slow writer because I have trouble turning off my internal editor. I can’t progress to the next chapter until the one I’m working on is exactly how I want it.

4. Tell us about your book...
Promise Me Forever is perhaps my favourite book that I’ve written to date. I put a lot of love into writing it and that’s because I love the town of Bindarra Creek so much. With this book, I wanted to pay tribute to all the wonderful authors in the three Bindarra Creek series as well as the community that has grown along with them. What better way to celebrate the birth and rebirth of a town than to capture its history on the page? Promise Me Forever is about second chances and finding true love, but most of all, it’s about family and community. Hero, Jack Hughes, isn’t a fan of small towns. He’s a big city kinda guy. Can Meg win Jack’s heart, change his view of country life and prove to him that Bindarra Creek is a town worth fighting for? Find out February 14, 2020.

  2. Promise Me Forever sounds like a great read, and I love the background story a lot. It's interesting to see how long it takes writers to write the stories that are running around in their heads waiting to be written. Kudos to you! Hugs, and happy Valentine's Day! RO

  12. Hello, Juanita! Your new novel sounds intriguing. I love the title. That's what I think [and hope!] marriage means. Second chances, we all need them once in a while. All the luck with this new release.

  13. Great cover and the story sounds intriguing. I am always amazed by authors who can write a book in 6 months. Maybe I will get faster one day. :)

  15. I tried this several years ago and had a terrible time with getting all of it to be straight. I eventually made some shorter, some longer and used that layout.
