  1. Does your family support your career as a writer?
Yes! My husband and kids have helped me brainstorm at different times and my husband is ridiculously supportive these days to the point of making dinner or taking over any other chore or errand if I’m on deadline.
  1. If you had to do something differently as a child or teenager to become a better writer as an adult, what would you do?
When I was a teenager, I knew I wanted to write for a living, but I thought it was something you could only do later in your life, maybe after you retired. So I would say the thing you have to do as a child or teenager is start writing. The sooner you start, the sooner you’ll be better at it.
  1. How long on average does it take you to write a book?
It very much depends on the length of book and how much research is needed. When I’m in my best groove, I comfortably write two thousand words a day, then I need time for revising and polishing before I submit. I try to give myself three months to write a Harlequin Presents (Mills & Boon Modern) but I often finish in more like two.

    1. Hi Theresa - to be clear, the shorter book was about 2 months. The historical was more like six, then lots and lots of revisions, lol. But I hope you enjoy it this summer :)
