What literary pilgrimages have you gone
on?
As yet, I
haven’t done this, but I would love to visit Bronte Museum as well as the
cottage in the Lake District where Beatrix Potter lived.
What is the first book that made you
cry?
As a young
girl, I read and read again Anna Sewell’s Black Beauty and it always made me
cry. I still have that copy from my childhood.
What is the most unethical practice in
the publishing industry?
Taking credit
for a piece of writing that isn’t yours.
Does writing
energize or exhaust you?
That
very much depends of what part of the story I’m writing. Sometimes I feel
emotionally exhausted, other times completely elated
Tell us a little bit about your book...
My latest
book is how a couple overcome problems early on in their relationship. Rio is
almost ready to give herself completely to Lysandros, when another man’s
actions make that impossible for her. Lysandros, proves that even though he is
wealthy, successful and every inch the alfa male, he is also very much Rio’s
hero, when he helps her overcome all that happened in a caring, patient and
compassionate way.
About Rachael Thomas
I love escaping to distant shores with my characters, entering their glamorous world and feeling all the emotions they experience as they discover their love for one another. A love so strong it will overcome all obstacles eventually, leading to that promised happy ever after.

ReplyDeleteLoved the blurb and the interview:)
ReplyDeleteNice to know more about Rachael and the book sounds good!
ReplyDeleteI've heard lots of stories from my writer friends about agents taking their work and publishing it as their own. I can't believe people would do that! Definitely unethical!
ReplyDeleteI loved Black Beauty too! Wishing Rachael the best of luck!
