Hot New Release Alert: Africa Online Book Fair: Romance Authors & Books ft. Amaka Azie, TM Clark, Beverley Eikli and Alison Stuart

The Africa Online Book Fair: Romance Authors & Books is a 2 day fair online event started last year, aimed at showcasing romance authors from the continent. This year it’s taking place on the 1^st of June till the 3^rd of June 2018.

We’ve searched far and wide for authors to take part, to bring some interesting and entertaining books for you.

Here’s a short description of the fair:

The Africa Online Book Fair: Romance Authors & Readers is a 2 day Facebook event that allows readers to shop discounted books, play games, enter to win free books & Amazon gift cards, and engage with authors. Every author taking part in the fair will have something up for grabs for the weekend, so if you’re a bookworm and want to discover your new favorite romance author come join us.

Author Bio

Amaka Azie writes romance fiction set in tropical West Africa. She explores the beauty and intricacies of the continent in her romance novels.
She was born and raised in Nigeria, West Africa. She developed a passion for reading at the age of twelve. Her interest in writing began in secondary school when she joined the press club and her active imagination has captured the interests of many.
She currently resides in England with her family, where she also works part time as a family doctor. Apart from reading and writing, she enjoys watching crime TV shows, painting and travelling.

Author Bio

Born in Zimbabwe, T.M. Clark completed her primary school years at boarding school in Bulawayo, but on weekends and holidays, her time was spent exploring their family ranch in Nyamandhlovu, normally on the back of her horse. After her father died, the family of 5 women moved to Kokstad, a rural town at the foot of the Drakensberg Mountains in South Africa, where she lived in the boarding school hostel as her home.

She began writing fiction when she moved to the UK while being a stay at home mum to her two sons. Now living on a small island near Brisbane in Queensland, Australia, T.M. Clark combines her passion for storytelling, different cultures and wildlife with her love for the wilder places.

Her books include, My Brother-But-One (2013, Mira, Harlequin) - nominated for a Queensland Literary People’s Choice Award in 2014. Shooting Butterflies (2014), Tears of A Cheetah (2015). Child of Africa (2017), and her children’s picture book, Slowly! Slowly! (Wombat Books, 2017), is a 2018 CBCA Notable Book. It is also a companion book to Child Of Africa.

Tina Marie also runs the CYA Conference in Brisbane, helping others on their journey towards publication.

Beverly Eikli

Author Bio

Beverley Eikli is an Australian author who grew up in the African mountain kingdom of Lesotho, married a Norwegian bush pilot she met in Botswana’s Okavango Delta, and wrote historical romances to amuse herself in the 12 countries she’s lived as a ‘trailing spouse’ (in between working as an airborne geophysical survey operator, a teacher of English as a Second Language, and writing for her former newspaper).

Her two most recent romances are set in Colonial Lesotho and Botswana and feature an aviation hero, while under her Beverley Oakley pseudonym she writes lush historical romances laced with mystery, scandal and intrigue.

I’d love to offer a free ebook of Okavango Angel set in the beautiful Okavango Delta about the difficulties of a young couple managing a luxury safari lodge in such a remote location.

I worked for three months as the manager of a lodge in the Okavango and this story is an amalgamation of the everyday events, hopes and dreams of many of the guests and transient and permanent workers I got to know.

Alison Stuart

Author Bio

History, mystery, romance and ghosts... Born in Kenya, Alison Stuart moved to Australia at the age of ten. After a long and varied career as a lawyer, including the military and fire services, Alison turned to her first passions, writing and history. Many of her stories have been shortlisted for international awards and she is loved by her readers for her ability to bring history to life. She is yet to write a story set in her beloved Kenya but in August 2019 the first in a series of cosy mysteries (the Harriet Gordon Mysteries) set in colonial Singapore will be published by Berkley Publishing. Watch out for Singapore Sapphire!

To celebrate the Africa Book Online Fair, Alison will be offering a limited number of digital copies of her multi-award nominated, best seller GATHER THE BONES- a romantic historical mystery set in the 1920s.

Inge Saunders is the founder of the Africa Online Book Fair: Romance Authors & Books and also a member of the Cape Town Chapter the Romance writers’ Organization of South Africa. Currently she has three works published with Decadent Publishing, two contemporary novels and a paranormal romance.
