What is the most difficult part of your artistic process?
- Revising. Definitely! Even though its absolutely the most important part, because it makes the book so much better.
Does your family support your career as a writer?
- Absolutely! Both my parents are lawyers, so I expected them to be a little less so, but they've always been wonderfully supportive of anything creative I've done.
If you had to do something differently as a child or teenager to become a better writer as an adult, what would you do?
- I wouldn't change a thing. Even though somethings hurt, somethings were embarrassing and somethings were wrong, every decision, step, or thought I've had has led me here and I absolutely love where I am right now.
How long on average does it take you to write a book?
- I always have ideas and thoughts running through my head, so it may take me a while to get to that latest idea or burst of inspiration, but once I sit down to it, about three - four months.
Meet the Author Pippa Roscoe
Mills & Boon author Pippa Roscoe lives
in Norfolk near her family and makes daily promises that this will
be the day she will leave the computer and take a long walk in the countryside.
She can’t remember a time when she wasn’t dreaming of gorgeous alpha males and
misunderstood heroines. Totally her mother’s fault of course—she gave Pippa her
first romance to read at the age of seven! She is inconceivably happy that she
gets to share those daydreams with her readers.
Pippa Roscoe on the web:
That sounds like a good premise for a story.
ReplyDeleteThank you Mary, I really enjoyed writing it! Best wishes!
DeleteRevising is tough for me, too. It takes so long, but it's worth it!
ReplyDeleteRevisions are always tricky, but when you're done and know that it's a better story, you are absolutely right Sherry, it's most definitely worth it! Best wishes!
DeleteI'm weird. Revising is my favorite part. I'm an editor, though, and I think that plays a big part in why I like to revise.
ReplyDeleteHa! I'm an editor too, though I think my favourite part is the plotting. But having seen how so many other authors are able to strengthen their stories through revisions, it definitely gave me the faith that it was always worth it. Happy writing!
DeleteEverything we go through as a child makes us into the person we are today...the person we're meant to be. :)
ReplyDeleteI feel exactly the same Chrys! Best wishes!
DeleteCongratulations on the release of your book, Pippa! Thanks for sharing about yourself!
ReplyDeleteThank you Janet! Best wishes!
DeleteTwelve hours! Now that's some serious pressure.
ReplyDeleteIt certainly was for Odir and Eloise! I quite enjoyed putting them under it! Best wishes!
DeleteHi Pippa. We meet again, and I send more congrats on what looks like a great new read! Hugs...RO
ReplyDeleteHello, Pippa! Best of luck with the new book.
ReplyDeletePippa's book sounds good!
ReplyDeleteI think it's great that her parents are so supportive of her writing even if she didn't expect it because of their career choice! Revising definitely isn't easy.
